Nice surprises in the City of Brotherly Love:

  • Pretzels and water before leaving Alamo lot
  • A Hotel famous for excellence
  • A center city location
  • A nice walk to dinner at Ocean Prime and back
  • iPhone X on its way from China

None of this was anything we made a big deal over – but put it all together and it was very nice.

To exercise or not to exercise

Top Disney Keynote Speakers
Some of my neighbors back home.

 

When traveling, it’s not uncommon for me to forgo exercise.

This decision rests largely on the length of the work day.

A keynote or half-day engagement makes exercise almost guaranteed.

A full-day engagement literally guarantees no exercise.

i plan for and accept whatever cards i’m dealt.

And i vow to never let enough time go between exercise that i fall into giving up exercise.

Once a week is better than zero a week

The monotonous routine of daily living. This routine ensures i will find my car when i return, and, it frees my mind from worry about having to remember.

 

The 40k bike and the hour at the gym felt good yesterday.

Heading to the airport in a few minutes for a four-day biz trip.

Since i’m not running and won’t have a bike with me, the best case scenario will be walking. And maybe a hotel gym workout.

Take what you can get.

Otherwise, it will be a two-week stretch averaging one exercise day per week.

Had the normal 3-hr workout before heading to Chicago.

 

i’m intentional about discovering opportunities to benchmark other Disney Keynote Speakers.

Also intentional about scheduling flights that facilitate the ability to exercise normally before heading out of town.

Traveled the second half of yesterday from Allentown to Walt Disney World. Back to our home routine this morning.

First run in seven days.

Between the cold and the travel disruptions from our routine, excuses for not exercising are easy to make.
