Time will tell and all we have is time

Who’s taking care of your health?

Time will tell and all we have is time.

Walked out to the mailbox like i do every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday and began walking (instead of running). After the first mile, began a slow jog which lasted two miles and included a break or two to stretch.

Walked the final mile home.

No pain.

Time will tell if the freakish, sometimes debilitating pain will raise it’s ugly head.

Such is our life whether we live like we mean it or not.

And so it goes, the boring basics

Orlando Based Disney Motivational Keynote Speaker
Yesterday, a late, hot start to the day, at 8am.

With a green light from my Podiatrist of ten years, yesterday was an important milestone.

The pain from running at the Sunshine State Games on Father’s Day 10 days ago, is fading to nothing.

Five miles of consecutive negative splits, not pushing hard, just gradually controlling the increased pace. Being aware and in command is part of world class training.

Mile six a slow jog. Mile seven a nice walk. Miles eight and nine, relaxed jog. Mile ten another easy walk cool down.

Consistency and time.

A perfect metaphor for real life

Sidewalk near Walt Disney World
Yesterday at ‘the track’, just walking.

Drum roll please.

Soreness is ______…

Still sore, but less so.

Yesterday’s (six mile) walk was a decent compromise.

Life is not fair.

But to be fair, at least it’s unfair to everyone, no exceptions.

Art is in the eye of the beholder and often has nothing to do with painting

OMFG – Oh My Fairy Godmother – the language some people pose as art

It’s getting easier and easier to believe that any excuse is invalid.

We all get 24 hours.

We all have challenges.

We all have to make hard choices.

Often these choices are painful.

No one is immune.

Make continuously better choices and make zero excuses.

Six weeks post operation double hernia repair update

jeff noel running next to Florida Sand Hill cranes
Mostly I run alone, but there are fans in the neighborhood who appreciate the lifetime exercise commitment

Six weeks post operation double hernia repair update:

  • Following surgery no exercise for two weeks, then a childishly slow start to running
  • Waited a month before retuning to gym, then an infantile return to weight/reps at gym
  • Now running two miles daily
  • Gym routine at 40% weight/reps

A thought, the last day we exercise is our healthiest forever. We don’t get healthier by doing nothing.
