Pushy

Venture vibrantly. Venturing to the gym shortly and then venturing to the airport.

Pushy?

Maybe.

i think so.

What?

i need to push myself by doing heavier weights and lower repetitions.

Have been experimenting with this and enjoying it.

Once a week the gym routine is broken up by using heavier weights and fewer reps.

The slight muscle soreness is beautiful.

Stop Pre

Ran to and from the gym yesterday and took the shortest route due to an early airport departure.

Steve Prefontaine was the catalyst for the American “jogging movement” in the 1970’s.

He was literally unbeatable and held every American running record (indoors and outdoors) from 1,000 meters to the 5,000).

An opposing team created t-shirts that said, “Stop Pre”.

It didn’t work.

He was a rebel who also happened to be a runner. That’s a story for a Google search in your spare time.

RIP Steve: May 30, 1975 (car accident). He was 24.

Greatest asset is mindset

Yearbook senior tribute page
Yesterday Yearbooks were distributed.

The greatest asset is mindset.

Why?

It frames up how you think.

How you think frames up your motivation.

Bottom line, motivation is your greatest asset, but you can’t get and stay motivated without the right mindset.

Son, of all the wisdom you’ve been exposed to, this ranks supreme.

Changing the scenery is helpful

Stitch
Stitch postcard sent from Glacier National Park to Windermere Preparatory School.

Changing the scenery is helpful.

For what?

Staying motivated.

That’s why we began month 10 by jogging outside our subdivision. It was a fresh change, a good change.

How do you guage your health?

car dashboard gauges
From our rental car a few days ago.

How do you guage your health?

What metrixcs do you use?

How often do you look at your gauges?

Are you happy with your answers?

There is only one correct answer (pass/fail if you will), “Yes!”.

Four months until college.

Find your own reasons for becoming passionate about your health.

Why?

You will be surrounded by people who do not think like this.

The peer-pressure will be overwhelming.

Stay up late. Eat daily desserts. Fries instead of veggies. Soda instead of milk or water. Play video games instead of going for a run and the gym. Etc. Etc.

PS. You will be in a unique position to influence and inspire others by your personal example. You can become the teacher.
