We forgot yesterday

Thanksgiving Day dinner in Florida
Yesterday’s Thanksgiving dinner on the back porch.

We forgot yesterday. No, we did’t forget it was Thanksgiving. We forgot to run “three mailboxes.” When things like this happen, forgive yourself and know that one day isn’t going to ruin things.

Our motivation will ebb and flow

Monday’s run – heading home after passing through Disney University (background).

Looking forward to this morning’s run. With only three runs per week on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, each opportunity is important – and a privilege.

Looking forward to going to Gold’s Gym today as well. Again, only three opportunities each week. i missed Wednesday’s chance because i was busy (and tired). i choose not to use the “off” days (Tuesday and Thursday) as a make up opportunity. So today’s gym visit is even more important, and more privileged.

i wish you knew how much i struggle with my weight.

If you did, my methods and messages would be exponentially more meaningful for you.

Houston we have a (physical) problem

Houston, we have a problem believing that our body is a temple that houses everything keeping us alive and well.

Can you imagine demonstrating, either consciously or subconsciously that our health is optional?

Greetings from Texas.

Flew here yesterday.

Challenging enough when conditions and schedules are predictable

Midlife Celebration book in Portland

(photo: A wonderful Christmas present will be freedom to promote this with zero restrictions)

It’s challenging enough when conditions, schedules, and routines are fairly predictable on our home turf…

It is so challenging to find time to run or go to a gym while traveling.

This is what makes each of us a champion.

Our ability to pick ourselves up after every fall.

Every single one.

Wondering how the life transition of retiring will affect this.

And enjoying a new low weight (in the past 10 years) at 153.5… this morning’s run, on home turf, will be slow and savory.
