You wouldn’t stop exercising?

Chalet in mountains
Granite Park Chalet. A long walk next to the Continental Divide is all it takes to get from the road to here.

You wouldn’t stop exercising?

The reasons for consistently moving well, resting well and eating well are obvious.

Unfathomable that you would ever abandon such an irrefutably positive lifestyle.

Healthy accidents

Bicycling in Glacier National Park before Sun Road opens to vehicular traffic. This is a 16-mile (Avalanche Creek to Logan Pass) continuous elevation gain from 3,200′ to 6,643′. Accidentally discovered you can rent bicycles and if physically capable, you can peddle all the way to the Continental Divide, without fear of vehicles.

Unhealthy accidents (mistakes) can set you back.

Many unhealthy accidents stem from neglect.

Some unhealthy accidents then require a lifetime of full-time care. Care that would not be required if neglect (mistake/accident) wasn’t a thing for you.

Some unhealthy accidents (mistakes) are temporary. Learn from them.

Flip it around.

Many healthy ‘accidents’ stem from intentionality, focus, and discipline.

Some healthy accidents deliver a lifetime of physical vibrancy.

Some healthy accidents (mistakes) are temporary. Learn from them.

In 2020, after spending 50 consecutive days hiking in Glacier National Park (GNP), discovered you can become vibrantly well simply by walking a lot. And consistently walking above 6,000′ delivers more than physical vibrancy.

Note: In 2020 the original goal was to visit GNP for two weeks and come home by Labor Day. ‘Accidentally’ turned into a seven-week trip.

Final note: ‘Accidentally’ discovered after the fact i never again want to be away from family that long.

Yes

Walking through my hometown never gets old. Took the long way today.

Yes, dang right i love to write.

In just days, have made progress on the 2021-version for the first Disney Business Book.

Combined blogging with first book reimagining. It’s been good, productive.

Finding it (or wanting it to be) impossible though to stop blogging in order to focus time entirely on the books.

Morgan Wallen’s new album, Dangerous: The Double Album, released yesterday.

Man i love artists who make you feel something.

Dear son, in some future universe, when you need “business advice”, i envision you reaching for one of your dad’s seven Disney Business Books.

Organizational Vibrancy

The biggest obstacle to thriving is the sense of arriving.

Because your life seems good, you think you have arrived, when in reality, you have not. You have only reached a stage.

Your ultimate stage is self-actualization and you have incredible opportunity for vibrancy

Exposure to opportunity can be found everywhere.

Opportunity is organic and prolific.

Access to opportunity cannot be found everywhere.

Access, like opportunity, is also organic, yet paradoxically elusive.

Access only comes to the few brave souls who pick themselves, who grant their own access.

You must create your own access.

Want access to organizational or personal vibrancy?

Decide to do the work.

Therein lies the secret you were searching for.

Do. The. Work.

You’re welcome.

Initiate movement

Initiate movement.

For the past three weeks, i’ve seen more people outside each week than i see in an entire year.

People will stop moving outside once they realize a lifetime of outside exercise is too much effort.

But for you, congrats on using your common sense.

As we get older, reaping what we have sown becomes increasingly more important.
