The secret is to quit telling ourselves the same bull crap lies we’ve learned to tell ourselves through repetition and observation.

At lunch yesterday, the friend said he’s gained 60 pounds.

His life is hard.

(Shhh, don’t want anyone to feel bad, but everyone’s life is hard.)

Try to imagine being asked to permanently carry a 60-pound back pack. Twenty-four seven.

Until we want something as desperately as our next breath, it ain’t gonna happen. Not the impossible stuff anyway.

Figure it out.

This isn’t a cruel statement, it’s truth.

We are the CEO of our life.
