Isn’t retirement supposed to dump a ton of extra time our way?

Isn’t retirement supposed to dump a ton of extra time our way? Day two of second retirement week (yesterday) was supposed to include a one hour walk.  Didn’t happen.

Too many other competing things to do. Overall it was a great day, just lacked physical activity.

An exceptional week of zero exercise

An exceptional week of zero exercise is normal for many, but you?

Not only is this the final week of employment at Walt Disney World, Cheryl has been gone unexpectedly all week on a family emergency.

Burn the ships

Orlando Airport South entrance expansion

Does “burn the ships” mean anything?

Got to spend a few minutes talking with a fellow (neighbor a mile away) middle-aged runner yesterday.

Years ago in our first encounter we realized we had met before and after a few minutes we came to the same conclusion. We met at a Chrysler Conference at Disney’s Contemporary Resort were he was an attendee and guess who was the keynote speaker?

Shared the retirement news and told him if he ever wanted a great speaker…

He said yes.

It’s gettin’ real.

Burn the ships.

Make it impossible to stop exercising. Burn your excuses. No turning back.

It’s all connected isn’t it?

It’s all connected isn’t it?

As crazy at this sounds it’s true. Using our emotions and imagination, we treat Pets like humans.

What if we treated our body like a temple?

As crazy as this sounds, what if we used our emotions and imagination to worship this temple as something sacred?

Life.

Stress.

At home.

At work.

Mentally.

Physically.

Spiritually.

All connected.

If we know this, what then, stops us from maximizing our circumstances.

Our wellness.

What?
