Going to the Sun

Bicyclist on a Mountain Road
McDonald Creek is swollen in June. Before the Pass opens, GTTSR is deserted.

Sometimes i wonder how old i will be before biking Going-to-the-Sun Road (GTTSR) is not an option.

Continental Divide attitude

Tall mountain
Reynolds Mountain is part of the Continental Divide.

This post’s title is a reversal from the previous post’s observation.

Put a hyphen across the upper part of the “l” and we are back to a dramatically different word meaning.

Here’s what i love about these two posts, i’m playing out an idea from the t-shirt that still doesn’t have a known conclusion (to me) two posts in.

It’s fun to run with an idea that you think will work out but you can’t see the conclusion at the moment.

GNP Day 59, physically

19-second video: Heading West out of Browning.

Nice drive from St Mary, through Browning and a half dozen small towns.

Allotted three hours drive, and two hours at airport.

Along the way we stopped a few times to enjoy the surroundings. Cheryl even had the opportunity to dispense our Bear spray. She did well.

The time to prepare for a bear is long before it ever happens.

Note: The time to get and stay physically vibrant is long before your life depends on it.

GNP Day 58, physically

Mountain Road in fog
Heading down from Logan Pass. It’s cold and cloudy. No sign of clearing.

i just read something (this morning) that caused a pause.

“Don’t share your private details online.”

Makes sense. For most people.

These blogs, as a reminder, are not socially sharable, are not promoted, and cannot be commented on. It’s a dad leaving a trail. A boring trail that shouldn’t interest anyone to stick around.
