Praying for Earth, body

Artemis II is returning to Earth after sending humans farther from Earth than ever before in history.

Artemis II traveled around the Moon and lost contact (it was planned for) with NASA for a brief period.

Extraordinary accomplishment in human history.

And as i type this (4:15pm April 7, 2026) we are three hours and 45 minutes from our President’s Iranian-peace-deal deadline.

i will wake up tomorrow and go about my morning routine, including walking many miles, without fear of bombs nor destruction.

i wish this for everyone on Earth.

Still cleaning up and hoping, body

Have waited patiently for new growth to begin.

It’s a slow process before visual signs say the plant is still alive.

Not unlike our physical vibrancy patience.

Here’s the insight.

Everything takes longer than you want it to.

For example, after a lifetime of trying to ‘walk into’ eight hours of sleep every night, i’ve finally been able to accomplish this for the past couple of years. Before that i had a good batting average, but now my batting average is nearly 100%.

Truth, i literally have never consistently got eight hours of sleep every night.

To consistently accomplish this for a few years in a row now has become a personal habit that i’m incredibly humble, and proud, to have achieved.

Note: Totally realize, and accept, this could change without warning.

Teach hope, body

From our Cabin’s back deck. Sunset. You can teach others to watch sunsets simply by your ritual of watching many of them yourself.

Teach hope…

Top priority…

Paramount…

Honor the temple housing everything keeping you alive.

Move, fuel, rest.

Do those three basics brilliantly.

  1. Move
  2. Fuel
  3. Rest

Even when society, at nearly every turn, tempts you not to.

In the absence of a relative or close friend who models this, become the model for those you love.

Harvest hope, body

Hope.

Yes.

Still got it?

Yes.

For what?

Hope to be able to run again, without chronic foot pain.

It’s been years, probably closer to 10 than five.

Yes, and…

Restarted three weeks ago.

Note: Hope has a relative, patience.

Compounded hope, body

At a certain point, you no longer get faster, stronger, or more flexible.

Let’s assume you achieved your personal records for all three.

In every living thing, there’s a life-cycle.

After a living thing’s ‘peak’ there is a natural decline.

The goal of compounded physical hope is to remain extraordinarily vibrant given the historical data on how humans age each decade.

Random case in point:

In high school, i was able to place my palms flat on the floor with knees locked. Can still do it, 50+ years later. In the 65-69 age group, think about how many people you personally know who have this range of motion. My hope of staying flexible has compounded beyond my understanding.
