Swiftcurrent Valley, day 4, body

20-second video: Fishercap Lake. Two calves and a Momma Moose. Mt Wilbur at the end.

As beautiful as the wilderness is, the reality is that it’s wild.

Nature’s only convenience is that food and water are available if you know where to look, are capable of looking thoroughly, and can do this while constantly watching your back.

Humans are (unknowingly) spoiled by time’s compounded human innovation.

Ps. If you watch the above video again, try to imagine those two Moose calves, having to flick their ears for the entire day because of bugs, and, the reality that mama has to get her food from the bottom of the lake.

Pss. And then there’s how do creatures stay alive during brutally cold, barren Winters.
