Just yesterday, they were talking as I walked up, “I hate him”. And they both laughed.
They were “kidding” as they talked about how fit I am. It’s simply the reality that makes up my day. I’ve come to understand that it will probably never go away. You know what it is?
I’m the kind of person people love to hate. At 51, when you do things like this, you get the predictable response.
It’s comical to me, because when I started, I was pathetic.

An active, healthy body has so many benefits that it’s mind-boggling why more seniors don’t seize the opportunity to exercise and lose some weight.
On the other hand, take working folks like me and you, we barely have time to eat breakfast, let alone carve out 30-60 minutes of physical activity.
I hadn’t been to the gym in 7 days. The choice was simple:

Of course, our choices aren’t limited to diet and exercise, they also extend to our spiritual balance.
Today is an active day of rest physically, meaning I am consciously choosing to not run or go to the gym. I’m also taking an active rest day here, so to speak, by simply posting this short (and very funny) video about visiting the doctor:
The challenge with active rest days is that when it comes to prayer, there really is no time to rest.

If you don’t have a compelling reason(s) to get healthy and more importantly, to stay healthy, you better go back to school, seriously.
