Both CEOs value the personal fitness trainer and trainee metaphor

Sometimes nine hours happens. Take it.

Both CEOs value the personal fitness trainer and trainee metaphor.

The trainer is the expert.

The trainer is paid well.

The trainer cannot do the work.

The trainee’s most important asset is motivation.

High school track practice
Go.

Dennis said when he started swimming a year ago he could only do two laps – up and back counts as two.

Now, in an hour, he swims 68 laps (34 up and backs).

His goal is 100 laps in an hour.

He also went from hating running and believing whole-heartedly that he could never run, to running for 30 minutes.

And, he said, “I love it and look forward to it.”

He also stated that he’s lost 35 pounds.

Randomly stumbled upon this photo (just now) from a 2011 Tampa conference where i delivered a Disney Keynote speech for Healthcare Executives.

If you only do what others have already done, you will only feel what others have already felt. If you do something no one has ever done, then you will have a satisfaction that no one has ever felt. -Author unknown

Writing this morning’s posts from my 93-year old Mother-In-Law’s Senior Living apartment, i randomly found the blurred photo above. As i struggled to read it i smiled, because i was trying to figure out what had captured my attention five years ago…

Turns out the message was profoundly foretelling.
