Disney’s California Adventure opened at 8am for Resort Guests yesterday.

By 10am i returned to Disney’s Grand Californian Resort and as i walked past the gym, i decided to go in.

Knowing i had just spent 9 days in Glacier, that was the motivation i needed to spend 30 minutes on strength and core.

A strong setting (body) is a pleasure to the senses.

Like you mean it is significant

Disney Keynote Speaker
“Like you mean it” is a significant soundbite in my business.

Like you mean it is a significant part of my business, from day one in 2008 – and even before i incorporated my LLC.

Most people get the implication from, “like you mean it”.

The application of like you mean it is endless.

Powerful.

Inspiring.

Important.

The key to everything is simple

global leaders unite
Good and decent habits and choices can be elusive for unlimited reasons. Photo from late April 2018.

The key to everything is motivation.

Without motivation, why would you do the hard work to build something that doesn’t exist?

Hard work scares us because, well, it’s hard – and hard work involves focus, discipline, and sacrifice.

Humans are easily distracted and bored – we are comfort seekers.

You have to be able to see the future state.

Vision without action is a hallucination.

PS. The greatest comfort i’ve experienced is learning to be intentional in things where i was unintentional, and maybe even where i completely ignored things.

Nature doesn’t intend to be heartless

vultures drying their wings
Yesterday biking home from the barbershop – vultures drying their rain-soaked wings.

Nature doesn’t intend to be heartless.

While nature is literally barbaric, i can’t fathom that nature is vengeful.

It’s simply a matter of daily survival.

Animals are highly motivated to feed themselves every day – and not get eaten in the process.

What about us?

What are we highly motivated to do each day?

It certainly doesn’t revolve around scavenging for sustenance.

i like walking to the new gym

Glacier National Park
September 27, 2017. The moon is faintly visible – top, middle-right.

i like walking to the new gym.

Three miles round trip if i make a bee-line.

Longer if i get creative.

While writing the final parts of the seven Disney Business books is this Summer’s goal in Glacier National Park, hiking will be the main inspiration source to fuel my spirit to do the impossible – write 7 Disney Business Books simultaneously.
