August 1984 was 14 months after we were married.

Finally, a honeymoon.

A bicycle trek through the Puget Sound and across the North Cascades Highway.

Travel home to Walt Disney World

Sun not high enough to reach these mountains yet.

Temptation to do too much is always calling when on vacation. No hiking yesterday. It was a planned rest day. This is so insignificant (not really).

Personal vibrancy is in the little details

Disney's Center For Living Well waiting room

There’s an intriguing word that big corporations are using these days, vibrancy.

It became a corporate mission at Disney the year (2013) before i retired. It remains the mission.

Organizational vibrancy.

Love applying it to personal vibrancy too.

Lungs feel clearer, voice sounds an octave closer to normal.

Vibrancy is when a million little things sing joyfully.

Called an audible two miles in

Google earth camera
Yesterday’s 10-miler near Walt Disney World on Fiquette.

Yesterday was the last run before Saturday’s Central Florida Glider’s track meet at Lake Brantley High School.

Two miles into a nice easy warmup, decided to keep going, meaning i called an audible and went left on Overstreet Road with no intentions of turning around. Rationalized in the moment that a decent 10-miler with progressively faster mile splits would be a nice break from intervals. Seven miles of negative splits before hitting Magic Kingdom Cast parking for a water break.

Significant change in exercise routine.

Elevation jumped from 100′ above sea level to 5,300′.

Ran and walked (taking pictures)  8.5 miles at really slow pace to avoid altitude sickness.

Also ran with a shirt on, even though it was late afternoon. Neither of which would ever happen in Florida, in May.
