Never get bored with the basics. Scout ahead and plan accordingly.

Only an hour away, Two Medicine and East Glacier were firsts for all three of us.

Comparing the real thing to the photos is a great way to judge for yourself instead of taking the photographer’s word (lens angle).

Making future reservations sight unseen could lead to disappointment when photos are misleading.

Yesterday was a rest day from exercise, intentionally.

The quickest way to stand out in a crowded world of talented people and businesses is to do one simple thing:

Over-focus on the same things your competitors under-focus on or ignore.

You can even have a story around why and how you chose your colors.

Had the High School to ourselves.

A side gate was left unlocked.

Grateful that a 15-year old accepted the commitment to run.

The night before i gave him the choice between running yesterday morning by himself (while i traveled home) or wait for me and run together last night.

Rest days and walking to work

Yesterday was a rest day and there was extra time to ease into the day before the 8:15am call time. It only required a 200-meter walk across the street from the Courtyard Marriott.

It was Saint Patrick’s Day.

And it was a cool, crisp, Baltimore morning.

So insignificant compared to what’s on the line if the client picks me to help them with their cultural transformation.

The first person i met was surprisingly delightful. i should have known.

 

At least i tried.

Chase Bank, only a mile from our house, missed an opportunity to wow me.

The thought of being able to walk (or ride a bicycle) to our bank is appealing.

But alas, we will need to drive.

i would like to thank Chase for reminding me of a SunTrust Branch (close by) i had completely forgotten about.

Note: On Tuesdays (yesterday) and Thursdays, i do not exercise. These “off/rest” days allow time for administrative tasks, etc.
