Our hearts ache when we see images of stereotypical human suffering. War, famine, disability, injustice.

But what about the health war being waged, the famine from wellness, our disability to conquer lack of willpower, the injustice of our self-defeating behaviors?

Life’s first two big choices covered for today, now the third big choice gets it’s shot here.

 

The toughest part is the part we all are painfully aware of

It’s almost always something we never see coming that puts a wrench in our plans

 

The year end non-stop push to catch up can really take a toll. We all know and feel this, right? Or was I the only one this morning cutting their run in half because of something unexpected?

The point is we all have to figure things out.

And the toughest part is not giving in when the pressure is the greatest.

A short run is better than caving and not running at all.

Heck yeah I’m tired. Ran two miles in the dark this morning. Taught at Disney all day – burning the candle at both ends.

At least I ran. At least the client’s (President of North American division of multi-billion dollar global company) expectations were exceeded. At least I’m in bed early. And at least the brand promise didn’t get snuffed out (if I finish the other three blog posts after this one)…

What to do when our exercise routine falters? Do whatever it takes to stop the leak. And worst case, if we can’t stop the leak (absence from exercise), “plug the hole” with whatever’s available (maybe a quick walk) as soon as possible.
