Three-week countdown, body

Disney Institute Keynote Speakers
Back in 2008 when i wore sunglasses and contact lenses, and began blogging.

Three-week countdown, body…

Physically, it’s literally impossible to comprehend the daily blogging effort.

The physical effort to wake up hours earlier than necessary to write and publish five daily, differently-themed blogs (on five different websites) before driving to Disney Institute. And i was already waking up extra early to be the first one in the classroom (and the last to leave at the end of the day).

Blogging started in 2008.

At Disney Institute i labeled my original, 2007, manila folder, “Web-Log”. This pre-dates the emergence of the word “blog”. For real.

That folder is where i put printed articles about this emerging self-publishing writing platform.

My original, and only, thought in 2007 was to harness this new, free, self-publishing platform as a marketing strategy for Disney Institute Facilitators to publish real time Disney Institute stuff.

A dry day.

So far.

Speed limit mindset, body

Yesterday’s walk, one way to DU.
Inflatable snowmen and an Apple Watch
Kept the app running and by 4pm we are nearing a half-marathon.

Half-Marathon: 8 miles round trip to DU, then 5 more miles without leaving our yard. In 9 hours, countless reps of bending, stooping, reaching, lunging and carrying.

Speed limit mindset with physical health?

How much is too much?

If Disney Ran Your Life…

Everything matters. Nothing is optional.

Have fun.

Set the bar for moving, fueling, and eating to its highest level.

Push boundaries.

Break Reinvent rules.

Don’t strive to be the strongest or fastest, strive to be physically vibrant.

Find a million ways to stay motivated.

Vibrant is better than sedentary.

Nursing Home stuff, body

A banana and avocado for breakfast. By mid-morning, ready for more fuel.

Enjoyed the rest of this in the shade next to Aloha Isle. Was tempted to get a Dole Whip.
1-second video: Yesterday walked to Magic Kingdom. Rode home with our Son. Met him in Disney’s Contemporary Resort Cast Member parking lot. This video was supposed to be a photo reminder for miles walked to and in MK.

Wondering if i’ll ever consciously say goodbye to running.

With a few significant goodbye’s, running hasn’t made the list.

While not being able to run in years, this week i’ve run twice.

Over two five mile walks, twice jogged about half a mile total each walk.

In a way, i’d like to give up on ‘only walking’.

Like most things, time will tell.
