Yesterday, body

post it note with notes
Yesterday. Made Podiatrist appointment for Chapin. He was at work, so i took care of it. Note: Made it before heading to the beach for two ultrasounds and lunch with a college buddy.
A 90-minute drive. Arrived early. Was done before the official first ultrasound was scheduled. This provided bonus time with Rick.

There was plenty of stuff on my ‘to-do’ list tugging at my brain.

Two simple choices.

  1. Leave Rick’s earlier than desired.
  2. Stay at Rick’s as long as possible and let go of the ‘to-do’ list thoughts.

Note: Advent Health is a special organization. My favorite client in 25 years of professional speaking. My family and i have experienced first hand how they extend the healing ministry of Christ. The photos below are from the lobby.

Disney Creativity and foot pain

MacBook migration screen
Started the (second MacBook Air) migration mid-morning and then bicycled to Disney.
Apple Watch and space mountain
Biked five miles to here, then walked 2.5 miles around the Contemporary.
bicycle seat and small tire pump
Had to walk the bicycle five miles home. But wait, good news, after one mile of walking the bike, i discovered the small air pump. Got just enough air in the flat tire to bike the remaining four miles home.

Intentionally gave feet a rest today.

Bicycled to Disney’s Contemporary Resort

Why?

To accomplish two goals:

  1. Rest the feet
  2. Do reconnaissance at Disney’s Contemporary Resort

Why?

In a few days, will be staying there and attending three one-day Disney Institute classes. Want to know what the before and after class options are, as a Guest.

Respect the running community

Running event traffic sign
From the photo archives when i used to be able to run.

Respect the running community.

Why?

They hold, perpetuate, and guard the childlike energy kids possess after kids learn how to walk.

After a kid learns to walk without any education, a kid learns to run.

Why?

Because they see other kids doing it and walking gets boring after a while. Why not do what the older kids are doing?

And think of it this way, if you’re a senior citizen (or just someone who’s been out of high school for a few years)…

You’re an older kid now in your 40’s, 50’s, 60’s plus.

Because running for your whole life ought to be as motivating as it was when you first learned how to run as a young child.

Chronic foot pain

Health website
A free 30-minute assessment sounds like a potential opportunity to have someone see what is invisible to me.

The answer is always no if you never ask.

Anytime Fitness sent an email solicitation for a free 30-minute physical therapy session.

Haven’t been to the Anytime Fitness gym in 18 months due to Covid. My gym membership was paused for all of 2020 when Covid hit, then i cancelled it January 1, 2021.

Grateful to still be on their email list…

Can this assessment help me?

No, if i do not go.

Maybe if i do go.

So go.

He walked everywhere

Walk in Walt's Disneyland Footsteps tour sign
Yesterday, February 24, 2020.

He walked everywhere.

Who?

Walt, of course.

We walked “in his Disneyland” footsteps yesterday, for three hours.
