Flying to Louisville in a couple hours. Last thing i have time for is an hour unrelated to the trip. From this morning…clock doesn’t include 10 more minutes of walking cool down.
Before we decide, we should quiet our mind so we can begin to truly hear.
If we can’t hear the truth about why we need to create our own personal wellness commitment, we will always have great (and easy) excuses for never addressing this.

On April Fool’s Day 2009, jeff noel began writing five daily, differently-themed blogs (on five different sites). It was to be a 100-day self-imposed “writer’s bootcamp”, in preparation for writing his first book. He hasn’t missed a single day since.
Thankful to have a smartphone that doubles as a camera. Board at Gate 12.
Thankful for:
Having the funds to buy three roundtrip tickets.
Having time off to travel.
Having someone to visit.
Having a safe aviation system
Having a reliable car to make the one-hour drive to airport.
Having people to travel with me.
Having funds to rent a car in Allentown.
Having 93 and 90-year old In-Laws who still recognize our faces.
Being able to have a paperless boarding pass.
Being able to check-in online with my phone, especially from the Nursing Home.
This is tip-of-the-iceberg stuff.
The list goes on and on and literally never ends.
Does this mean i’m oblivious to the long-list of challenges, frustrations, and disappointments?

Yesterday at the Dollar Store greeting card aisle in Allentown, PA.
There are these recurring daydreams that begin with the next sentence as the opening scene.
You don’t need to worry about it.
Wouldn’t it be great if we could become enlightened?
You know, to see farther than what’s right in front of us everyday – past the common, everyday surface level stuff.
i carry this weight, the weight of others believing i have it all figured out. Not everyone, but enough to feel uncomfortable. It’s weird and difficult to explain.
And then the guilt of them believing i have some special ability or skill to come in and rescue them from their challenges.
Truth is, i may be one needle of overwhelm away from breaking the camel’s back.
Please make victory over your demons your top priority.
If you, as i do, spent your time focused on that, you’d understand that’s exactly what i’m going through. Then you’d feel i wasn’t being a hypocrite.

Had to write it down or it would evaporate, never to be remembered.
Seven days (counting today, June 2) to cake and ice cream.
The glorious thing i discovered from years and years of prolifically writing is the freedom and growth that are only possible when you reach this level.
What i mean by that is i never write to gain or grow a following.
i write simply for the strength and clarity it provides.
Like food nourishes, or water hydrates – both are critical.
But what is critical to our attitude?
Thinking.
Writing prolifically and unashamedly unleashes thinking.
i will begin my birthday day (in seven days) by spending the first two hours writing.
