Still waiting for permission to be the example of great health and wellness?

Waiting for what?

When?

Perhaps we are simply following in the footsteps of our elders’ poor wellness habits.

And without actually saying the words, our actions are saying, yes, I am following the same path that will eventually make me wish I had taken care of myself.

  1. We can see what works
  2. We can see what doesn’t

To say my sleep rhythm was disrupted in 2013 would be an understatement. What if we treated it like other things we wanted? Setting small, medium, and large goals?

Slept 8.5 hours last night. A goal. On purpose.

Yesterday, ran the fastest mile of the year so far (to celebrate turning 54)

 

Ever wonder if we’re selling ourselves short as we age?

Me too.

And the longer (and more faithfully) we pursue the answer, the clearer the answer becomes.

We probably are very tempted to believe aging is a downhill trip.

That’s what I thought as a child and teen.

Fast forward four decades…

Some people don’t buy it, won’t buy it, and even dedicate their lives to prove it.

Ran the fastest mile of the year so far.
