If seeing isn’t believing, what is?

Ray Charles quote
Ray Charles was blind, he had to feel it to believe it

If seeing isn’t believing, what is?

Ask someone who’s blind or visually impaired.

Ever go to bed early with the hopes of exercising before a busy day begins.

Me too.

Last night.

But instead of falling asleep, I re-read the book I finished July 1, 2011.

It took 53 minutes to read.

It took 30 years to write the first sentence.

After this morning’s five daily blog posts are written, a run is in store.

Be good to yourself today.

Dreaming of the worst lane and finishing last

Questioning everything led to the Lane 8 metaphor
Questioning everything led to the Lane 8 metaphor

Why would an athlete dream of the worst lane and finishing dead last?

Would you rather be the slowest of the fastest or the fastest of the slowest?

Slowest of the fastest declares you eighth best in the world, if you’re in the finals, at the Masters Track & Field World Championships.

Fastest of the slowest could be at a nursing home.

Finish dead last.

Eighth best in the world.

This is the metaphor and symbolism for this blog – Lane 8 – and life in general.

Every damn day.
