Have always been challenged with sleep during a 15-year Hotel career, and a 25-year traveling keynote speaker career.

So seeing results like this on a Friday morning…

Was averaging 8 miles M-F. That’s 40 miles walking per week, excluding whatever happens on the weekend.

Give me some good news.

Ok.

Making consistent mental and emotional progress on adjusting my physical vibrancy expectations as i get closer to 70.

This is a big deal.

Why?

The mind still says go, go, go.

The body says become a master at avoiding injuries that create lasting pain or require you to stop doing something that you’ve done since you were in high school.

Ownership determines motivation, body

Motivation’s secret is ownership.

Therefore, the greater the ownership, the greater the motivation.

i’ve learned that what really counts is what i learn after i think i know it all.

Take my exercise habits.

Injury prevention used to be a rare thought.

Why?

i was strong, resilient, confident.

What i learned the hard way is the mind stays young, the body does not.

And as i approach 70, it gets even more unknown.

Cool.
