Banff Day 1, body

Late morning we start seeing the Canadian Rockies. Once we started saw them, we continuously saw them for a couple more hours, all the way to Lake Louise Inn. Our Inn is surrounded by mountains.

Feels good to see what others have raved about.

We can tell simply from the drive north that Banff is incredible.

One Million acres, body

Blue notecard hand-addressed
A six-week delay happens sometimes. Cheryl made a goodie basket for the reservations team. Their office, where we’ve delivered the past few years, is being renovated. A variety of small details forced a 6-week delay. It was nice to hand deliver this to Carly today.

A metric that could be fun to determine is how many trail miles have i trekked since 1973.

Two ways to slice this:

  • Total individual, unique trails miles i’ve done.
  • Total miles, cumulatively hiked since 1973.

Recalling individual trails hiked seems possible.

Recalling individual trails and the number of times hiked for each trail, seems impossible.

Note: The general consensus is that Glacier has 734 miles of designated trail. The number is higher when you factor in unmarked trails.
