We generally stay here the final night of each trip because it is the closest “in-Park” accommodation to the airport.

The Aspen are at peak yellow.

This morning, after spending four full days on the road.

156.5 pounds.

7.4 hours of sleep last night.

i track it daily using Apple’s Notes app.

Why?

To be mindful of where i stand the past 24 hours and to be mindful of patterns (aka habits).

Knowing both of these allows me to stay the course and/or correct the course.

Otherwise, i, like many Americans, are on a crash course with their personal health.

Fix your health, then start worrying about someone else.

You know what really scares me?

How few people practice strong health habits.

Walking, eating decently, sleeping adequately, some strength exercises, some stretching, some core work, and finally, the highest priority – being crystal clear on finding something that motivates them for life.

The view if i would keep hiking towards Granite Park Chalet. However, this is the turnaround point – after lunch.

A six to eight-mile round-trip hike for lunch sounded good from the comfort of home back at Disney World.

Gambled on cut-off jean shorts, dri-fit short-sleeve t-shirt, then a long-sleeve t-shirt next, plus a Glacier Long-sleeve shirt (3 total shirts), then down vest, bandana around neck, wool hat and gloves.

Disney-style peanut-butter and jelly sandwich, mint Oreo cookies, and (only) two bottles of water.

Does reuniting with an old friend benefit our circulation, blood pressure, and heart health?

Ate a simple meal last night.

No cooking.

My old friend, Glacier National Park, was perfectly fine with the no-fuss dinner.
