So that 3-mile after-dinner hike never happened

Mt Oberlin
Mt Oberlin in a view i’ve never seen before.

Mt Oberlin in September
Mt Oberlin yesterday, on the Autumnal Equinox, also yesterday.

Rainy at Logan Pass
Raining at Logan Pass as we crossed the Continental Divide. This is a view looking toward Lake McDonald Creek., from Sun Road.

Just so you know, Hidden Lake is not Hidden.

You drive to the continental divide, park, and then walk 1.5 miles, and there’s Hidden Lake.

So that 3-mile roundtrip after-dinner hike never happened.

All was good in our wet, rainy world yesterday.

Writing this one standing next to the Disney Parkway (aka 535).

It’s 5:34am as i type this on the iPhone.

Walked 800 meters to get here.

Waiting for two friends to pull up in their Uber so i can hop in.

Heading to Orlando airport, then MSP, then Kalispell, MT.

A 3-mile after dinner hike along the Continental Divide is also planned.

Arrival at 3:44am to Kalispell International Airport.

Running on empty.

Three hours of sleep the other night.

And today is the first day back in the gym after an 11-day absence.

No shortage of exercise in those 11 days, just no gym in Glacier National Park.

Life is not black and white

Wild Goose Island black and white
A black and white (mono) photo.

Life is not black and white, right?

A fair amount of grey area.

Except for this…

We are born and at some point we die.

Perhaps we can influence our health to allow us to better weather life’s storms.

PS. Yes, i know this is difficult challenging. Glacier National Park (nature, the wild) reminds me how truly challenging it is to survive from one day to the next.
