How long do we need to stay motivated to sustain a personally satisfying level of overall wellbeing? Are you still motivated for this life challenge?

Looking back 3 1/2 years, it would seem the idea of competing at a ridiculously high level would be better left to elite athletes.

A 5:50 mile is par for the course now. What does this mean, it means that 90 days ago, a 6:23 mile was the fastest in a year. Remember, 5:50 isn’t my fastest mile, it’s what’s currently possible, at will, without doubling over in exhaustion.

Without tracking the progress, the motivation (and results) would be waning. Know the feeling?

Do you ever amaze or astonish yourself? Being in Tallahassee for the past three days, I planned on three days of active restpurposefully not exercising. This is different from meaning to, but not.

None of the other six adult chaperone’s exercised during these three days either. Pretty sure only one of us was purposeful.
