At 5:20am, our car will take us to the Iowa airport to return home to Disney World. Bottom line, four straight days of “active rest” twice as much time as I would have liked. But I must accept the cards I’m dealt. If I let adversity drive my attitude, desire and will, I’d never win. Ditto with you.

Traveling the past three days, including two intentional “rest days” means that I’m really looking forward to this morning’s run. Betcha you’re looking forward to exercising today too. Right?
Full disclosure: I sometimes have to force myself to exercise because I’m too tired, to demotivated, too busy, etc.

Win some, lose some. Bouncing back is my only path. An easy 5-mile run. Later a decent strength workout. Set a core strength-test record (38 sec). When we least expect it, a motivational gift magically appears.

Yesterday: up at 4:30am to be the first one in the classroom. Teach until lunchtime. Pack up, grab lunch, check in and wait at airport, travel all day….Four days on the road. One day of exercise. I knew this before I left Orlando.
Today: sleep in until 6:30am, write five blogs, run and strength workout at Gold’s Gym. You win some and you lose some, as long as we refuse to quit. We quit and we always lose.
