Thank God for exercise

Jim Thorpe
Jim Thorpe, considered by some as the world’s greatest athlete.

Thank God for exercise.

In a matter of hours today, notified that three relatives are either having emergency procedures today or tomorrow, or will likely have one by week’s end.

All are 60+.

Two are married. To each other.

None of them exercise.

None of them have ever exercised.

Thank you God, for the desire to exercise.

Ps. The reasons for the irrepressible desire to exercise are self-evident.

Food as fuel or comfort?

Years before the idea arrived. What idea? The idea to travel with one of the three identical Teddy Bears you see here.

Closed mindset sees food as comfort and pleasure.

Look around.

Tell me i’m lying.

Run with the truth

healthy lunch plate
Obviously, cheese is processed. Yes and…obviously cheese is not Cheetos.

Run with the truth.

Here’s the truth.

Health is wealth.

If you need or want a serious kick in the rear…

Poor health habits lead to a poor quality of life.

Well-rounded health habits lead to physical vibrancy.

Truth is, you are in charge of your outcomes.

Basics: stay in motion

woman biking across the country
On an island overlooking the Pacific Ocean. On a honeymoon as well.

A rolling stone gathers no moss.

An object in motion tends to stay in motion.

A well-rested person does everything better than a tired, run-down person.

Stay in motion. Take the stairs. Park in the back. There may come a time when you can’t do any of those.

Curbing your motion will accelerate the inability, or severely limit your ability, to do this things.

Build like you mean it

Page from a Church bulletin
On this rock you will build your temple – the temple housing everything keeping you alive.

Pro tip: Get your first personal victory of the day in the morning, before the day beckons and calls.

You’re welcome.
