Time for a new inventory of running shorts

USATF member price is $31. Tried to find it cheaper on Amazon…

Not available on Amazon. Ever.

 

Part of staying active is being organized with your structure and processes for allowing you to streamline your wellness efforts.

Having plenty of the optimal gear for your karma helps minimize hassles.

Bought the last four available pairs of official USATF running shorts two weeks ago.

Ideally, 10 pairs is the goal.

Recycle or trash the older 10 pairs.

Held on to the tag pictured above to remind me to look for more asap.

Today (two weeks later) is my asap.

Five more pairs magically appeared in USTF Store inventory.

Lucky me.

Note: of all the running shorts i’ve worn, these are the best for me.

You should NEVER have to scramble to find what you need to exercise.

Ever.

My two last resorts for a solution

Yes. Not depending on a miracle, even though a miracle would be nice.

 

Progress: the muscle knots on my right calf are softening.

This has been accomplished using a hard tennis-like ball – the kind at the pet store that are not easily destroyed by dogs chewing them apart.

In two hours, Rick at Massage Envy and i will spend 90 minutes together.

Massage and acupuncture are the two last resorts for a solution to return to running.

Starting with massage first. This will be the second one.

You are poised for sub-seven

Running pace for one mile
The 1600 meter time was 7:20. The 6:36 was for 1200 meters. Notice the 3 consecutive laps with negative splits.

 

Heads up, this will likely be confusing to non-runners. Sorry.

Here’s the breakdown of your 7:20 mile yesterday…

  • 0:56    0-200 meters
  • 1:56    200-600 meters
  • 1:55    600-1000 meters
  • 1:49    1000-1400 meters
  • 0:44   1400-1600 meters
  • 7:20  final

Important to note: your combined 400 time for your first and last 200 meters was 1:40.

Also note your final 200 was by far your fastest at :44 seconds.
