Sleep is medicinal

The day is won in the morning. The morning is won the night before. Sleep has a starring role in victory. As does planning, using your prioritized priorities.

Master the art of sleeping well. Why? Because the alternative may be torture.

Stayed up late to watch Iowa and UConn battle for the NCAA Women’s championship game berth.

Been a long time since i slept until 7:45 AM.

But i did it.

Why?

Motivation.

For what?

For the potential to undo the blindness in the left eye.

Driven by the desire to heal the eye from the Cataract surgery 48 hours ago.

By the way, the game lived up to its hype.

As sleepy as i was, it was impossible to nod off.

Apple alarm clock
Photo: Last night. Focused on eight hours each night post surgery especially. It’s always the goal. But now it’s a heightened priority. If you can’t exercise, then focus on rest.

Regaining eye sight after eight months of blindness is extraordinary.

The eye-sight honeymoon is off to a great start.

Grateful.

Remarkably so.

Food is medicine and i’m grateful for always feeling that way.

Pain-free in pre-op, surgery, and post-op.

It’s supposed to be.

But things don’t always go the way the Marketing brochure pitches.

But sometimes they do.
