Acclimation is good

Short video: In 2017, the thought of running in the mountains seemed only for super-athletic people.

Acclimation is good.

Acclimation eases your progress in a slow and steady way.

Slow and steady progress is a physical vibrancy life-hack.

Last year’s 50-minute Mt Oberlin accent was a breakthrough moment.

Boots & bikes on the ground

Space Mountain from Contemporary Resort parking lot
None of my extensive Disney experience is based on theory. None. Everything i preach is from boots-on-the-ground experience. Same with Glacier, which is now quite extensive.

Three boots-on-the-ground criteria over the years for where to stay at Glacier:

  • Lodging location
  • Wifi/cell signal availability & strength
  • Lodging cost

Note: Some lodging has wifi/cell but it’s poor.

Glacier’s second coming

mountains
The sun rose without obstruction. Glacier’s Eastern border, where i spent that Summer night in 1973, is unobstructed by the Great Plains Western border. Photo: from Swiftcurrent Mountain looking East – you see the two borders meet here.

Glacier’s second (2013) coming began 40 years after the first 1973 visit.

Prior to 2013, here’s the Glacier visitation history (fairly uneventful):

  • jeff:
  • 1973, 1980
  • Cheryl & jeff
  • 1983, 1993, 2003
