The higher truth about wellness

The higher truth about wellness…

You won’t get laughed at, but you will become silently annoying.

Over-focusing on wellness reminds you of who you used to be and it reminds certain others of who they still are.

Be active, rest and eat well.

What is your attitude about being active?

Last night. ABC News.
Common sense and common practice do not dance together often. Be an example, not a warning.

What is your attitude about being active?

This is a no-brainer.

Son, don’t overthink it. Ever.

Just know you’ll need a million ways to stay motivated for a lifetime.

The good news?

Humans are creative and resourceful.

The bad news about humans?

We are pleasure seeking (or discomfort avoiding) beings.

The extra inch is this simple

This (long line wrapping back to the kids play area) is what happened as i finished my Chick-fil-A lunch yesterday.
Empty tray for context. I arrived at 11:57am and walked to the front of the line because it was empty.

The extra inch is this simple…

Show up five minutes before lunch rush.

Five minutes makes the difference between no line and a 10-minute line.

Son, over-focus and .think .differently are two critical success factors. Consider making them yours.

Nature is beautiful and challenging

This Opossum has an open wound on it’s back. It’s chances of survival are at risk. Photo: yesterday morning during run.

Nature is beautiful and challenging.

Survival of the fittest (strength and intellect).

An incurable, but not terminal, human disease challenges a human to stay strong and smart about their disease.

While some incurable diseases aren’t terminal, not staying strong and smart can lead to other diseases which are not only terminal, but carry a high percentage mortality rate, like colon cancer for example.

Still crazy after all theses years

2019 IAAF World Relays from Japan concluded yesterday.

Still crazy about USATF after all theses years.

Son, what’s important to note is that i’m carrying a lifetime of excitement to support and follow Team USA.

Sure, track and field is an obscure sport….not a single friend nor family member is into track and field. Not one.

This lifetime of following facilitates an emotional connection – because i’m a runner – that drives my commitment to staying active.
