Go to bed with your cleanest teeth

Bear cub post card
Bear cub postcard from a college buddy and his wife who i got to hike with at Logan Pass two weeks ago.

It’s worth defending or it’s not.

What?

Oral health.

Go to bed with your cleanest teeth.

Flossing is the only way to ensure this.

Flossing must become a nighttime routine.

One that is worth defending against exhaustion, boredom, and time constraints.

Running on empty

Arrival at 3:44am to Kalispell International Airport.

Running on empty.

Three hours of sleep the other night.

And today is the first day back in the gym after an 11-day absence.

No shortage of exercise in those 11 days, just no gym in Glacier National Park.

Greater as a whole

Adventist Health System
A wall for selfies to use on social media.

We are greater as a whole at work.

We are greater as a whole with mind, body, spirit, money, and hq.

We are greater as a whole when we floss as well as brush.

Yes, some nights i have to muster an extra-ordinary motivation (because the tank is on empty) to floss.

What’s my secret?

How gross it feels to allow garbage (decaying food particles) in my mouth overnight. And how scary it is to know that skipping one night makes skipping a second night far too easy.

Don’t even get me started on core

Planks

Excercise, nutrition, and rest.

Most of us know about, and attempt to make a habit of, the first two.

But rest, no.

We use coffee, a busy schedule, and easy (instant) access to entertainment on a screen to completely neglect a decent sleep regiment.

And because of this, i really don’t want to get started on taking care of our core.

But…

But if you want to focus on your core, it may eliminate or reduce the habit of daily medication in your life’s second-half.

“Feeling like it” has its ups and downs

Disney University speakers
Couple days ago biking home from Magic Kingdom.

“Feeling like it” has its ups and downs.

Feeling like what?

Flossing.

Still recovering for a week of inadequate sleep due to a busy (and amazing) schedule.

Flossing before bed (after dinner) catches your energy level at the lowest of the day.

So tempting.

To what?

To skip a night.
