Ran two miles yesterday without pain. Remarkable.

Going the extra inch is like exercise.

You can consistently make small (inches) choices like taking the stairs, parking in the last row, going to bed early, and always having apples and bananas in your kitchen (for snacking, or dessert).

Don’t let what you can’t do – train for a half-marathon – stop you from what you can do (the little things that add up).

Owners own everything.

On Wednesday May 1, i proposed an introductory call. We had yet to speak and i figured the reason he hadn’t proposed a call was he is as busy as me, etc. So i initiated the phone meeting and we spoke Thursday, May 2.

It went great. Super excited to help him out; maybe a month ago, as a casual favor to a colleague, i offered to do it for free.

The call ended with him talking about the video recording of the speech. This completely caught me off guard. How does he not know i don’t allow video or audio recording? Period. He acknowledged he couldn’t find any. There’s no speaker footage of me anywhere, since 1999 when i began speaking.

In the moment, i made a judgement call to end our call graciously and to allow a good night’s sleep to see if it was time to lift the 20-year “lifetime” recording ban. Wanted to be open minded.

Conviction for healthy habits
i believe healthy gums exponentially enhance our overall health.

Last night’s tired effort to do the right thing.

Just do it.

Floss.

Every.

Single.

Night.

Whether you feel like it or not.

i did not feel like it.

This “not feeling like it” happens roughly 50% of the time.

And yet.

And yet i’m certain flossing every night is imperative and pays exponential health benefits.

Yesterday was not a gym day, but i still wanted to bike.

Plus, i needed to do something at Disney’s Magic Kingdom.

Multitasked and did them simultaneously.

Sitting is the new nicotine

 

Sitting is the new nicotine.

Think about the epidemic proportions of today’s lifestyles.

Meanwhile, woke up at 3:00am sick and sweaty.

Could be altitude sickness.

Just realized my hotel sits at 7,530 feet.

Took two Advil, drank 12 ounces of water and figured i’d wake up at 5:00am good to go.

Nope.

Slept until 7am.

Very rough and concerning start to first day in Bogota.
