Always moving

Apple Watch and some mountains
Avalanche Lake is one of Glacier’s most popular hikes. Why? The mileage and elevation gain is doable for many people. It’s also one of the closest-from-Kalispell hikes available. Note: Little Matterhorn on the right horizon.

Always looking for opportunities to move well, eat well, and sleep well.

Really wanted to move. Like an hours-long trek.

Left the hotel thinking it is too cold today to hike.

Headed into Glacier to visit a few scenic spots.

Got Glacier history, body

red horse statue in mountain town
Of course there’s a story about this ‘red horse statue’. It’s here.

In recent years we’ve explored some Glacier history-type stuff.

It’s a nice physical break when we need a rest day.

We’ve also explored Glacier history when dealt a challenging weather day(s).

Be good to yourself, body

Sperry Chalet is there in plain sight. Dead-center. All three buildings. Right to left… The Hotel. The Restrooms. The Dining Hall.

Be generous with your energy.

Tamaracks are stunning. It’s been cool to discover and experience them.

Minister to your body.

The way you move, eat, and rest…

Only preach what you practice.

Glacier Day 401, body

Tamaracks cover the landscape. This is the first time i’ve knowingly seen them.

Simple habits are operational genius.
