GNP Day 40, physically

IOS update screen
Hours to do all that needed doing.

Today is an intentional rest day.

Also intentional is digital catchup.

The Motel wifi is well below average. The RV Park front office wifi is decent.

From 530am-7:00am in the car (photo above). Then a delightful mid-morning walk to breakfast. Then back to car at RV Park until 230pm.

Kinda felt like a workout. The discipline to keep going, slowly and steadily.

With physical vibrancy.

With digital vibrancy.

Mountain chalet
Bill and Linda. Winter window covers.
Apple Watch on someone’s wrist at Mountain chalet
i take these photos to understand trail times and physical effort.

Focus and discipline are superpowers.

Superpowers are attractive to some and obnoxious to others.

Over-focus on things you used to under-focus on or ignored.

10-second video: Heading to the far end of the lake.
Making our way to the Falls.

Gunsight Pass elevation gain (from the lake) is more than we have legs or time for. Easy decision to not hike to the Pass. Our legs and leisurely, hour lunch thanked us.

GNP Day 37, physically

10:30 AM start. Layered up with decent room in backpack for shedding layers as we climb to Comeau Pass.
10-second video: Once we hit the sun, layers will start shedding.
22-second video: Onward.
9-second video: almost to Comeau Pass.

This hike, the Sperry Glacier hike, is vying for favorite GNP hike.

Mountains
We waited until after lunch for the sky to clear, wind to subside and temps to warm.
11-second video: Heading to Lincoln Pass and beyond.

The weather, while ‘crisp’ by Orlando standards, was delightfully crisp. It was in our bandwidth as long as the sun remained and the wind didn’t.
