Last night I couldn’t wait to go for a five-mile run this morning. This morning, at the one mile mark, wanted to stop and walk. Suddenly, the desire to run five miles had trickled down to turn around and go back – too much to do today and running takes time away from the to-do list.
Modified the route and met halfway. Instead of the original 50 minutes or the spontaneous 20 minutes, logged 37 minutes. To overcome quitting, make compromises when necessary. But never quit.
