Yesterday: 5k warmup, 5k race, 5k cool down.

Three 5k’s to celebrate Independence Day 2015. Here are the splits for the official (2nd 5k):

  • Mile one: 6:53.
  • Mile two: 6:58
  • Mile three: 6:29
  • Final .1 mile: 37 seconds.

Elapsed time: 21:19

The most interesting part was how easy the first two miles were. Kept my breathing through my nose until the final mile.

Update October 13, 2015: No longer taking selfies with sweaty chest thanks to a family member (Eric Chet). The original intent was to capture the profuse sweating to demonstrate what a 56 year old can do when there are no limits.
