Day 3 St Mary, Triple Divide, body

Man, standing on the side of a truck
Everyone inside (and outside) this truck is completely focused on spotting a departing car. A departing car creates an available parking space. Not many cars departing at 7:06 AM.

Over-focusing prevents many challenges.

This is supremely beneficial.

Why?

Challenges often require abandoning the present moment in order to focus on solving the challenge.

Day 2 St Mary, Triple Divide, body

gloria Steinem quote
The truth: You’re the CEO of your health.

What physical dedication do Olympians possess?

And why do they possess it?

What, if anything, does this mean to the rest of us?

Day 1 St Mary, Triple Divide, body

post eye surgery facial photo
Somewhere around 18 hours after last year’s first retina tear repair surgery.

Repetition is the mother of all learning.

Clarity is strength.

Strength is an asset.

Assets trump liabilities.

Back to clarity…

How high is your physical wellness bar?

Be crystal clear your highest physical standards.

Do the reps to reach, sustain, and improve your highest physical standards.

Day 5 West Glacier, body

Instead of a ‘Jeff video’, this (2:17) Olympic video is yours to enjoy and digest.

Being more cautious than anticipated this first week in the shadows of the Continental Divide.

Why?

The reality of a hard (lifetime) physical reboot has spoken to me in a way that is welcomed and cursed in alternating breaths.

Hate that my fitness is incredibly sub-par.

Love that i see my poor fitness clearer than ever, and, that i accept it.

Growth mindset facilitates accepting things you can’t control (the hard reboot). It also facilitates fighting like your life depends on it for things in your control (slow and steady recovery back to vibrant fitness).

Universe, i love you. Thanks again.
