Day three acclamation hike. Today’s mileage (10 miles) will equal first two days combined mileage. Building the base with spectacular scenery and remarkable solitude during peak season.

We (Steve and Stacy Wahlberg, and me) are approaching Bishops Cap (left pinnacle). The sheer drop is several thousand feet to the right side of the Continental Divide. The first photo in this post has no context for this hike’s steep intensity.

Jumping into freezing water is decadent, and crazy.
