GNP Day 9, physically

11-second video: At first it seemed the two were being chased by something.

It’s interesting how Nature will come to you when you aren’t trying to chase it.

GNP Day 8, physically

15-second video: Solitude is the bomb.

The planned Otokomi Lake hike with two Rising Sun employees fell through at the last minute.

Not quite ready to solo hike Otokomi.

Already had Piegan Pass trail as a backup.

It was a perfect choice, 11 miles and 2,700’ gain.

GNP Day 7, physically

12-second video: Walking two miles is better than not walking.

Funny things can happen. You can maintain your body weight, but lose muscle mass. Essentially you replace muscle-weight with fat-weight.

Note: Have never seen ”fat” animals in nature.

Mountains
Good morning St Mary Lake.
11-second video: This angle…no one gets this angle.

Five miles.

Relatively flat.

Five hours of ‘slow down and enjoy the journey’.

GNP Day 5, physically

It’s 11am. Been here since 7:30am, sitting in the mini van with an incredible, once-in-lifetime office view.

Lunchtime, 12:30pm. Never planned to be here five hours. Only half-way done.

Only my wife and son know how long it takes to transfer all the Glacier National Park ”on-location” blog posts into the WordPress admin dashboard so they can be scheduled for future publishing.

All the photos and videos and the interconnected links and tags, categories, post titles, photo meta-descriptions need to be completed.

Arduous, time-consuming tasks.

Upon returning home, it’s easily eight hours per day of extra effort.

It’s a massive, two week effort to get them all transferred from the iPhone Notes App and from iPhotos library.

And if it isn’t obvious, this is on top of the normal day-to-day things i always do.

Each year i swear the next Summer will be different.
