GNP Day 32, physically

Mountain
Heavens Peak from The Loop. Photo taken from The Loop parking area at 6:10 AM. There were several spaces available.

It’s simple. If you don’t get a parking space, you don’t get to hike that trail. Tomorrow we need a parking space at The Loop. It features the trailhead to Granite Park Chalet. We are staying at Granite Park Chalet tomorrow.

Note: Years ago decided free Park shuttles do not fit my lifestyle. The reconnaissance this morning is the intel needed to ensure a space.

GNP Day 31, physically

View of a car dashboard from the driver seat
Spend many hours here every visit. Today was roughly five hours. The Motel room has wifi, but it’s just okay. This building is 400 meters from Motel.

The goodness from being physically focused and disciplined will overwhelm you if you trust it.

GNP Day 30, physically

UPS box
Box 1 of 2. No one knows where the second box is. This is a good exercise in surrender. Three days (Sat, Sun, Mon) to wait until the Post Office opens Tuesday.

The goodness from being outside and active will overwhelm you if you trust it.

GNP Day 29, physically

19-second video: One last look at an Historic Cabin with two double beds. Has a sink but no bathroom.
Mountains and a lake
One last look back at Many Glacier Valley and Swiftcurent Valley. We are heading to airport for Jody’s 6:00 PM flight. This leaves 7.5 hours to get him to the airport with a 90-minutes buffer.

You want physical vibrancy?

Welcome excuses.

Excuses are the iron that sharpens discipline’s iron.

GNP Day 28, physically

Mountains
Another sit and soak in the same ice-cold creek pool from two days ago. We are less than two miles into an eight-miler. Our feet don’t hurt. We feel the opportunity should be seized as we pass it.
20-second video: Let Jody go first and i stayed behind so we could both experience descending Swiftcurrent Pass Trail by ourselves.
Two men at hiking trail sign
Same guys. Same trail. Two days later.

If you think the price for physical vibrancy is high, wait until you get the bill for regret.

Odds favor a generational legacy. Be careful.
