Vibrancy requires consistent action

An early 10-mile bike ride to breakfast yesterday before the sun got too strong.

Vibrancy requires consistent action.

Cardio (aerobic), strength (anaerobic), nutrition, rest, flexibility, core, and motivation.

Simple?

Totally.

Especially when my attention, time, and energy are over-focused on the same things i used to under-focus on or ignore.

Easy?

Not until it becomes a dominate habit and ritual.

In an interview?

What a crazy way to meet.

True story.

Walking the dog doesn’t substitute for cardio

Yesterday. Sam is a self-walking dog.

Walking the dog doesn’t substitute for cardio, but it beats not walking the dog.

Take what you can get.

Be creative.

And know the better way may simply be to visit at a different time of year.

Priorities

Priorities.

Everyone knows the definition.

Everyone knows the transformative power.

Everyone is someday going to invest the proper time and energy to get their priorities straight.

Until then, we are likely to be living in disharmony to what’s most important to us.

This may last a lifetime.

i’ve seen pervasive societal procrastination turn into lives of regret – or at the very least, lives of surviving versus lives of thriving.

Since you’ve been born, plan on this

We are replacing McDonald Creek for The Gulf of Mexico this afternoon.

Since you’ve been born, plan on this…

Dying.

Plan on it.

Plan for it.

And do your best to come alive and start living before your time is up.

Tip: Occasionally, say no to a should.

Will saying no to something today matter in 5-10 years?

If yes, don’t say no.

For example, will saying no to regular exercise this month matter in 5-10 years? Yes. So don’t say no to August’s exercise.

PS. Same for September, etc.
